Welcome to Toompany Lodge – Upstairs Retreat, your home away from home in the relaxed coastal village of Amity, QLD. Occupying the spacious upper level of Toompany Lodge, this inviting retreat accommodates up to 9 guests across four thoughtfully appointed bedrooms and two bathrooms, making it ideal for families, groups of friends or multiple families holidaying together.

Step upstairs and settle into your own relaxed island retreat. The upper level opens onto a lovely balcony, providing the perfect spot to enjoy the coastal air and laid-back surrounds. Each bedroom is comfortably appointed with plush beds, quality bed linens and ceiling fans to ensure a restful night after a day of island adventures. The main bedroom has its own ensuite, while the second bathroom includes a bathtub—perfect for a soak after a fun-filled day at the beach.

At the heart of the Upstairs Retreat is the spacious, fully equipped kitchen, with an electric cooktop and oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and kettle—everything you need to prepare an easy breakfast or a family dinner. An assortment of coffee and tea is provided, and Bo Beans Coffee is just a short stroll down the road when you’re in need of a caffeine fix.

Both indoor and outdoor dining areas are located upstairs, so you can choose the setting to suit the meal and the mood. If you're in the mood to grill, there’s also a BBQ on the downstairs porch that you’re welcome to use. If you’d rather head out, the Pavilion (aka “the Pav” to locals) is co-located with Bo Beans and is a neighbourhood favourite.

In the mood for a beach day? The Upstairs Retreat is just a short walk from pristine sandy beaches, often with a kangaroo or koala encounter along the way. Keep an eye out for dolphins at Toompany Beach or from the jetty, and don’t miss the exceptional sunsets at the end of the road overlooking the bay. After a day under the sun, rinse off in the outdoor shower before heading upstairs to unwind.

The upstairs living area is designed for comfort, with plenty of seating and a flat-screen television—an easy place to relax together at the end of the day. The balcony offers another lovely space to sit back and enjoy the slower pace of island life.

For your convenience, the Upstairs Retreat includes free off-street parking, Wi-Fi and bed linens. Guests also have access to a laundry area with a clothes dryer, located downstairs and accessed via an external door.
