Vehicle ferries depart from Toondah Harbour, Emmett Drive, Cleveland to Dunwich, North Stradbroke Island seven days a week.
They arrive in Dunwich approximately 1km apart – Stradbroke Ferries arrives in Junner Street, Dunwich and the Stradbroke Flyer arrives at One Mile Jetty, Yabby Street, Dunwich.
There are two vehicle ferries operating to Straddie – Sea Breeze and Minjerribah. Services run on the hour from both Cleveland and Dunwich throughout the day – links to timetables and prices are listed below. Both are owned by Sea Link. Just ask our friendly staff if you want to need assistance with making a booking.
Standard cars can easily be taken to North Stradbroke Island – the main roads on the island are sealed and easily accessible. You don’t need a four-wheel drive unless you want to drive on the beach. A 4WD beach permit is required contact us for details.

- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure.

- Departs Toondah Harbour, Cleveland to One Mile Jetty, Yabby Street, Dunwich.
- Travelling time – 25 Minutes.

Arriving on Straddie
When you arrive at Junner Street, Dunwich drive straight ahead for about 200m and you’ll see a sign to turn left for Point Lookout and Amity Point. It will take you about 20 minutes to arrive at either destination. The turn off to Amity Point is well signposted.
Walk on Passengers on Vehicle Ferries
‘Walk On’ passengers are welcome on the vehicle ferries but the stradbroke island passenger ferries are recommended because they’re faster and are scheduled to meet most trains at Cleveland and buses on Straddie. The buses on Straddie don’t connect with the vehicle ferries.
Cyclists
If you would like to bring your bike to Straddie you will need to take it on the vehicle ferries. Please purchase tickets from the office of Stradbroke Ferries prior to embarking.
If there are several people travelling together it might be more economical to buy a multi ticket (10 trips) than separate return tickets. Ask at the Stradbroke Ferries or Stradbroke Flyer office.
